I took pictures of objects that had a large mass for the most part this photoshoot. I tried to focus more on larger objects to try and have the viewer feel like they are there. I went to places such as playgrounds where there are many larger objects there that I could take pictures of. There were many things such as slides, swings, and monkey bars there that I could take pictures of. I set up my scene by getting at an angle that would make the picture stand out more. I took a lot of high and low shots throughout this photoshoot.
I used angles and close and far to make this photoshoot better. For many of my pictures, I had to get at an angle to get a better shot than if I were just standing straight and taking a picture. The elements that I used were shape and color. Many pictures have a repetition of the same shape, such as the monkey bar image and the image with my dog. I used color by having objects have the same color but in different shades.
I chose my subject matter through the things I used to do when I was younger or what I still enjoy today. I chose things that meant something to me adding a sense of extra joy in this photoshoot. I added my voice to this by using objects that mean something to many other people around, not just me. This makes viewers want to look at the image longer to have them remember what they used to do. This assignment helped me to know that there are enjoyable things in life and that you should take those opportunities when you can. It also reminds me of what I used to do in the past back in middle school.
Some of my strengths in this assignment were the angles and the colors. Also, my far away images were correct and well done. My weakness was the shallow images in this photoshoot. Some of them didn't look exactly right, but in the end, I still believe I benefitted from this photoshoot.
I would of tried to make the shallow images more like how they were supposed to. Some of them were not exactly right, but they are close. Another thing I would of done is try and find more places that I could take my pictures, as many were from a playground. Other than that, I would of done the same thing for this assignment.
