Color Composition Reflection

Color Composition Reflection

In this photoshoot, I ended up taking pictures of things that were mostly blue and had a texture to it to make it more interesting. The images looked more in depth this time than last time. I decided to leave my neighborhood this time and go out to other buildings and outside places to take these new pictures. I even drove about 45 minutes away from home to get some of these pictures. I set up scenes by adding extra blue things behind the main object to make the pictures mostly or almost blue. The scenes were sometimes a pair of clothing or a blue wall behind the blue objects.

I used things such as close and far and rule of thirds to make the image better by making some images from a up high view or a down below view or add a sense of depth to the image. The best close and far was the monkey bar image as it showed what a close and far image looks like. The main element of principles that I used was color because every picture was all blue or almost all blue. I also showed a lot of texture to enhance the images and make them stand out more.

I chose subjects based on blue objects that had textures in them to fit with what the Photoshoot was but also enhancing it to make it better. The subjects were also things that I enjoyed and would like to do. I tried to incorporate things that I liked such as a pair of shoes, monkey bars, a Bible, and other things. These things are all important to me and they make the image stand out more to me. This assignment showed me that you can change what the world looks like through only one color and texture. This proves that color is important and that it can change they way others view the world.

Some of my strengths of this assignment were being able to find a lot of blue items with texture to first with the Photoshoot. Another strength was the angles of the images as I thoughts they were much better than last time. My biggest issue is by far having too many distractions in my images. This time, I focused more on leaving distractions out but I still had a few in there.

I would of changed the spot where I took the pictures to eliminate the distractions. Distractions are still a problem for me, but I am still learning, and I hope to get rid of most the distractions in the upcoming Photoshoot. I would of also changed the lighting on a few images as I feel they looked sometimes more black or more white than an actual shade of blue. Despite the mistakes, I would say that this Photoshoot was much better than the first one I did.
