Shutter Speed Reflection

                                                             Shutter Speed Reflection

During this photoshoot, I took pictures of objects that could be moved in ways to create blur and motion. I attempted to move around with the object to help add an extra sense of blur along with the blur that was there already. Although that didn't work very well, I still attempted to create something new, which backfired on me. I didn't really travel anywhere this time except for a playground and other random nearby locations. There were many areas that worked with this photoshoot well around me and I tried to take advantage of that. I set up scenes by removing objects that could cause distraction and took the images in locations that would not have distractions. Having distractions take away from the purpose of the image, so I tried to avoid distractions
I used rule of compositions such as close and far to improve my images. Close and far helped me by having different angles and options to each image. The elements of principles that I used were shape and space. I used these to show how different shapes and how space can change an image to something better or worse. Using these can be a trial and error situation, so it is worth taking notice.
I chose my subject matters by using objects that I have used or seen for a long time. I went around recalling some memories when I was younger for this photoshoot. I also used objects that I use a lot such as a microwave. I incorporated my voice by making the objects do something such as rolling a water bottle on the floor or having the cup collect the water. I used to do some of those things as a kid and I decided that it would be kind of cool to do that. This assignment helped me to know that you can remember your past by something as simple as throwing a water bottle on the floor and making it roll. Doing this, for me, was a time to reflect and relive some of the minor moments of my childhood.
My strength in this photoshoot was that I could get the blur images easily. The problem, however, was that some of the pictures were either too blurry or too dark to even be able to see. I should of used better lighting and not gone so extreme on the blur. Those hurt my photoshoot and caused the images to not look as well as the should or could of. Despite those mistakes, I take this as a learning assignment and I will take that to consideration next time.
I would of changed the lighting for sure. Having a lack of lighting appeared to make this photoshoot decent at best. Also, I wouldn't have moved with the subject as much because that made my images blurry and unclear. These mistakes are costly and they happened to me more than I would of liked. However, I still enjoyed this photoshoot and I could practice these image types more.

About Me

My photo
Kyle Earl
I started drawing when I was five years old and I have been involved ever since. I have tried different types of art, including photography, 2D art, and 3D art. Art has always been a big part of my life and it continues to stay interesting and enjoyable. Art has been one of my strengths for the longest of time. Unrealistic drawing is where I really shine, but I am only decent at realistic drawing. I like to incorporate objects that I enjoy, such as a football for example. I also like to use objects that remind me of my childhood, such as a playground. Overall, art is a major part of my life, and a big piece of the puzzle filled in.
