ISO Reflection
This photoshoot was good for me in practicing my photography skills. Honestly, I never changed my ISO before this photoshoot but this changed my approach on using ISO. I ended up taking pictures of lights during the night such as Christmas lights and porch lights. During the day I took pictures of objects that could be seen and ones that had texture on them. I tried to be creative with objects during this photoshoot and use them in a new way.
I used rules of composition such as rule of thirds and close and far to improve my images. Some objects were better when taken closer and others when the image was farther away. Elements of principles that I used were repetition, color, and pattern. I tried to balance out each element to make the image feel lively. I also tried to use shade and light to create an ominous scene during some of these images.
I chose my subjects by fall and winter scenery and activities. Given that it is winter (at the time it was published), I thought that it would be a good way to complete this photoshoot. I felt like throwing in mood in these images to express the way I see it. I incorporated my voice by making the images fall and winter themed. I saw that lights can create interesting ways of viewing the area around it through this assignment.
One of my strengths in this photoshoot was using light during the night to my advantage. The light made the night images look nice in my opinion. The day images fell short to me personally. I didn't really have anywhere to go, which caused a decent problem for me. However, I still feel as if I made do with my limited space and created pretty good images. The only thing I would change would be to get someone to drive me to different areas in town and create images in those areas. Overall, I though that this was a good photoshoot for me.
